What is he saying ? I would really like to know. When the group enters the announcer is getting very excited and almost loses his calm. The pronunciation of their names is....very Japanese. This is the first show in Japan and a very good one too.

Jimmy's solo in 'The Immigrant Song' is greeted with a massive howl of approval. No crashing into 'Heartbreaker' this time because of a broken guitar string. There are also Americans present at this show if you listen carefully. Somebody very impatient is yelling 'get on with it'.

Jimmy's solo spot in 'Heartbreaker' is again a signal to get wild. They even know the Bach part. 'Dazed & Confused' is beyond belief, it seems to last for ages without for one minute getting boring. Finally they seem to play 'Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp' but it's only a very brief introduction to 'That's The Way'. Shame !

Robert goes completly over the top in his introduction to the 'Boogie Chillun' part and the audience happily go with him.

Together with the last Osaka show my favourite from Japan 1971. Now more of the source used for the Watch Tower release !

The new Empress Valley source misses 'Communication Breakdown.

The medley from 'Whole Lotta Love' is total madness. It even contains 'How Many More Times' ! Plant is calling out the titles and the rest just plays them.

John Bonham is ill."I got feet like jelly, tell them" he informs Robert. You shouldn't tell by (t)his performance. It's a pity that Robert's voice is not so good recorded in the so called SB version.

The last date of their sensational first tour of Japan is (in my opinion) also the best. A very long show with lot's of suprises. The acoustic set is extended with 'Friends' (well not really acoustic because John Paul Jones plays electric bass, but then again not one acoustic set is really acoustic) and 'Smoke Gets In Your Eyes'.

Bonzo is also amazing in 'Moby Dick', even more remarkable because he doesn't want to play it. But not only the music also the things going on during the show are very entertaining. You can hear the roadies restrain their laughter when Robert starts his hilarious "Mr. Bonham" chant. We'll never know where Bonzo went but he must have heard it 2 blocks away.
