This show is my personal nightmare, i've bought 3 original silver boots of this show. Reading Luis Rey book about the best version of 'Stairway To Heaven' and all the other positive comments i decided to order my first really expensive bootleg. I ordered the yellow version of Tarantura's 'Graf Zeppelin Marsch', only to have it stolen with several other silvers about one year later.

Then 'Odysseus' came out, bought it (i should have waited !) and than 'To Be A...' was released and i couldn't say no to it. Now only the official DVD ! This show is my favourite from the Earl's Court shows (you could have guessed by now).

The mood is set by the introduction by Nicky Horn, the house is brought down and we start a bit slow on a wonderful journey with a very few bumps here and there. Personal highlights are 'The Song Remains The Same' in a speedmetal tempo, Kashmir, the horror version of 'No Quarter', 'Dazed & Confused (this should be the final one) with the 'Woodstock' interlude and 'Stairway To Heaven'.

Plant's comments during the acoustic set are just tolerable for me, but not for Bonzo.

Comments;
'Loose is not the word'. The first few songs are killers, but then it evolves in a kind of Plant comedy show sometimes funny and sometimes not. Even Bonzo doesn't bother to 'correct' Plant anymore.

'Going To California' is a vocal disaster, an instrumenal version this evening would have been a better idea.This show has the doubtful honour as being the last where 'Dazed & Confused' is played and it's not exactly the best version.

The vcd is very watchable, only when really bright colours come up, it gets a bit less clear.Plant is really the ultimate peacock during this period, also very evident in the U.S. footage.

They perform two extra encores with Plant 'paying' tribute to his reggae roots during 'Communication Breakdown'.
